Bergþóra Bachmann I was born and raised in Reykjavik, Iceland. In the kinder garden I spent hours playing the Sorceress of Castle Grayskull from He-Man. And when He-Man was out of style, I started to copy Michael Jackson’s moves, and so it continued in my childhood, playing different figures from around the world. After finishing college and graduating from the faculty of economics and business, I at least knew what I was not, and decided to stop trying to playing someone else's role and just be myself. A few years later I started to study again, this time in Reykjavik’s Multimedia school, and finally I found myself. I instantly feel in love with filmmaking, 3D and animation. It only took one semester till I had plenty of side jobs creating websites for individuals as a freelancer. This was followed by a nice full time job offer from Kraftvélar as a web and graphic designer. Even though my studies weren't really finished, I took the job and worked fulltime whilst finishing my final project for the Multimedia school. It was a hard half year, but I knew it would be worth it for my CV. When I had graduated from the Multimedia school, I found again I needed a change and so in the summer of 2008 I packed my bags and moved to Basel in Switzerland . After a short while, I had a job at Bayer Consumer Care, but along with my daily job I have also done some side projects, for example graphic design for Swiss Made Magazine. Now, I have found new passion in the digital arts. Photography and I love it. Feel free to look at my photos and contact me if you find my work interesting. |
